A good year of significant events

The Schouw & Co. Group had a good year in 2016. The portfolio companies reported good business activity in most market segments. Many of the initiatives and activities undertaken were successful, and the Group upgraded its guidance several times during the year. Consolidated revenue was up by 14% from DKK 12,566 million in 2015 to DKK 14,369 million in 2016, and EBIT rose from DKK 831 million in 2015 to DKK 1,038 million in 2016.

Schouw & Co. is a listed industrial conglomerate that makes long-term investments in leading businesses in which active and developing ownership is performed.

The businesses employ about 6,000 employees, and in 2016 the consolidated revenue reached DKK 14.4 billion and EBIT DKK 1,038 million.

Schouw & Co. owns 100% of BioMar (feed for industrial fish farming), Fibertex Personal Care (nonwovens for personal hygiene), Fibertex Nonwovens (nonwovens for industrial purposes), HydraSpecma (hydraulics for the industry), Borg Automotive (remanufacturing of auto parts) and GPV (EMS industry). Furthermore, Schouw & Co.  holds a 50% stake in Xergi (biogas) and 49% in Incuba Invest (venture activities).

Schouw & Co. was founded in 1878 and has since 1954 been listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
